Last night was fab. The cloud disappeared completely by the evning allowing for al fresco dining, and then by the time it was 'Luther Time' indoors the temp had dropped substantially enough to be able to comfortably sit indoors and watch tv. Also sleeping was much easier last night also.

On to today and looking forward to the retreat of the current cloud cover and the the gradual return of sultry conditions for the weekend.

The weekend saw highs of 26.8c and 26c here with over 12 hours of sun each day however since the winds turned northerly its been cloudy and highs this week been 19, 20 and 18.6 with 18 being forecast as the high today. Can we have the warm weather the rest of the country seems to be enjoying, just the sun would be a start!!!!

All seems a bit daft in this country. I think the elderly have known full well a warm spell started a week ago, unless they don't have windows.

Sunny and 19C in London - coolest it's been at lunchtime for many a day. Looks like the Highlands are the place to be though, with 24C currently at Aviemore, Tulloch Bridge and Altnaharra (and Glasgow).

Creeping up to 17.7 C here under slowly developing bright spells. Is it too soon to issue a heat warning for my area in my Cloud Master forecast feature?

I now regret having shaven off my long hair as at least it kept my head warm whenever the weather got cold. I have popped into town earlier on today and had to put a cap on to take the chill off my head! Also, at least the long hair prevented my scalp from getting burnt whenever the sun does actually stay out for long enough.

Anyway, at least I am starting to see more in the way of sunny breaks as this stratsocumulus layer continue to thin and break up, but the fresh NE wind is keeping the temperatures pegged back at 17.0 C.

Stunning weather, can see morale lifted and a friendly atmosphere everywhere I go. Another 10+ days of this will do just fine. It's not uncomfortable humid heat out there either.

It's 16.9 C here at the moment even though it's quite sunny now but it's too chilly to sit out in the garden while in shorts thanks to this brisk NE breeze.
