That reminds me of the Ian Botham story. Arriving in Australia the immigration officer is checking his paperwork.
"Do you have a criminal record, Mr Botham?"
Botham: "Why? Is that still a requirement to enter Australia?"

Anyway, back to more important issues, massive session coming up, early slip ups from England and this test will be gone.

Looks like KP is going to play more his natural game today. That means he'll either be out in a minute or 70no at lunch

Cook gone squeaky bum time now. England right on the ropes here ready for the taking.

Horrible position to be in for England, one thing they must do is keep the score board ticking over at least.

I've no faith in Bell and Bairstow under pressure whatsoever

Not the two I would pick in this situation either, especially Bairstow.

I agree with Blowers on TMS, KP was a wicket waiting to fall, never looked secure and was never going to get a big 100, he needs more cricket.

anything more than 200 will be tricky for the aussies. They have a very fragile batting line up

Bell, on the other hand, only ever seems to score when his runs aren't really that important (or if the general consensus is that he's in the last chance saloon)

IMO, we need to notch at least another 150 to give our bowlers something to defend

I think a lead of 250 is an absolute bare minimum. The convicts have a strong enough batting line up that three or four of them are more than capable of polishing that off. The pitch isn't doing much at all. I reckon 300 is defendable. 250 if the convicts collapse.

Bell and Bairstow looking like giving their wickets up at any moment to be honest. Both playing and missing regularly.
