anything more than 200 will be tricky for the aussies. They have a very fragile batting line up

For what it's worth I think Prior is the key when he arrives.

Cook looked bang out of form which is a worry.

I think a lead of 250 is an absolute bare minimum. The convicts have a strong enough batting line up that three or four of them are more than capable of polishing that off. The pitch isn't doing much at all. I reckon 300 is defendable. 250 if the convicts collapse.

Bell and Bairstow looking like giving their wickets up at any moment to be honest. Both playing and missing regularly.

Anything above 150 will be a potential challenge if they lose 2 or 3 early wickets again. 200 should put England as slight favourites, perhaps 60/40, and 250 should make it nearer 80/20.

I am with Boycott on TMS, was never an LBW on Bell, rubbish call from the on field umpire.

Bell survives and I wasn't worried about that one.

Bairstow gone to the left arm spinner. Turning off the pitch now - not great for less than half way through the match.

Given England wickets are like the proverbial buses, which of these two is going to be out within the next few overs?

Not sure our batting line up can win us the Ashes.

Cook - Out of form

Root - not an opener

Trott - poor form for him

pietersen - Iffy

Bell - Crap form

Bairstow - Not good enough yet.

Prior - poor form

I like the cut of Prior's jib. This pitch & these conditions have shown that sooner or later, a good ball is going to come along and surprise you. I'd rather a player tried to get runs on the board before the bullet with their name on it came along.

All out 215 shocking! Our batting is poor with quite a few bottlers in the line up we could be in trouble to retain the Ashes.

The whole game has been moved forward and is progressing at a fast rate.

I am off to bed anyway, I have no expectations of any heroics from England over night here
