All out. Lead is 310. Not sure that's enough.

England just need to hang in there but it isn't looking so great right now.

Any chance of a thunderstorm hitting Trent Bridge today?

And there we go, there is the break through

We are off and rolling, now to build some pressure and grab a few more.

They're a third of the way there with one wicket down. I think they'll do it comfortably sometime mid afternoon tomorrow.

Or failing that good cloud cover and a few storms to change conditions a little, but not muh chance of that it seems.

A precious wicket to Root. There's very little happening from any of the bowlers.

Almost halfway there. The pitch is dead. Only Australian mistakes and a collapse can save England

Whatever the result an incredible first test - controversy, records, incidents galore, sunshine. You can't get better than this.

Sitting in my garden with my feet in the kids paddling pool with test match special on the radio and a cool beer in hand.

Don't you just love the great British summer?

Agar not throwing the bat as per first innings , will he still be able to get a decent score now he is putting some thought into it?

Just to come back at you my friend, we put a TV by the dining room patio doors, had the test on whilst  the kebabs, burgers, sausages, chicken wings and legs were cooking on the BBQ, served up with a salad and various dressings, washed down with Fosters , Coke and Wine. With Strawberries and cream to follow.

Oh and the odd cooling off period in the pool , must add I opted out of the bouncy session on the trampoline

But you enjoy

Repeat tomorrow?????

Probably but without the TV
