Seeing a rounded figure of 30°C at BD for 2pm on xcweather

29.9°C here, highest temperature since 2006 and right on the cusp of 30°C. Not much change in the past half hour... the anticipation is intense!

The sun is now fully out but it just doesn't want to warm up at all at 16.6 C (it's actually becoming cooler) as the refrigeration effect of the sea breeze is being felt.

Confusing reports from Boscombe Down though, with the temperature at 4pm lower than that at 3pm. Looking around, all the other nearby stations that far inland are reporting further temperature rises.

Maybe it's something to do with the site elevation? Whatever... I got my 30°C and that's that

Genuine scorcher in portsmouth despite neither of the local metoffice stations being warm.

Gosport 28.4C

Gosport 28.8C

Portsea area 27C

Around town though felt more like 32C+ but no thermometer.

North end/ hilsea 31C - though I think more around 30C

In other words, it's pretty good.
