I see that bbx weather guy on bbc1 ended his forecast by saying that th curse of British summer "humidity" will be back for Monday onwards and he reckons it will test even the most hardened heat wave lovers 😃

Bring it on I say ;p

26 C at 8.30pm in Edinburgh again! It's a Scottish heatwave for sure! Parks and Gardens are full again

Sadly I fear the worst for the weekend (here anyway).

This is the best heatwave I've known since 1995 here. 2003 and 2006 both gave some glorious summer weather but not like this. According to what I read on the MetO website yesterday, Grangemouth was Scotland's hottest place last week with 29.3C on Tues 9th July.

20.3 here. It's stayed above 20 degrees before 11pm everyday this week.

Although just as warm, the high humidity we saw at the start of the week has gone. Being near the sea often increases the humidity more than inland and earlier in the week it was up in the 90% mark overnight. Now come down to around 80% with daytime mins of 50%.

No rain since the 27th June so the grass is very brown.

Cooler day at 27.9'C max compared to 30.7'C yesterday. Been on the Essex coast today (Frinton) and it certainly wasn't hot there. Cloud visible out at sea and a strong wind. At least it was sunny!

Off to Caernarfon for the weekend this afternoon - can't wait; lots of great & super-clean beaches nearby
