This time next week we could be moaning at a 10c drop in temp and rain.

Even though this spell has been a tad too hot for me, lets enjoy what we have

Seriously hot in West Cumbria, already had a max of 29.2C.   Sea breeze may prevent it hotting up and more now.

Probably already been mentioned already but what would it take to get to "heatwave index 4 - national emergency"?

At least it will be mild!

What purpose do they serve, other than to let us know what we already know.

This stage requires social and healthcare services to target specific actions at high-risk groups.

Does anyone know what specific actions are being targetted at high-risk groups?

At 24 C, it is feeling warmer than yesterday despite the breezy wind. Mind you, what with the clear skies, the sun has more oomph to it.

EDIT: Snap, Steve, as we both typed at the same time. [sn_bsmil]
