Is it me or is it REALLY necessary to do all these sensationalist news regarding this warm spell where the SE News did a ten minutes long special about it? Granted the UK is doing well where it has been 30 C or above somewhere around the country for the past week but believe it or not, it's called "Summer Weather".
Or it it because after the past six years of poor summers all this is being a shock to the system? Perhaps I'm being indifferent about it because I've not really experienced the real heat others has been getting.
From memory, the Heatwave of 1995 was a belter because I can still remember that clear as anything 18 years on, along with, obviously 11th August 2003 (even though it "only" got up to 32 C here) and the 35 C on the 19th July '06. This time round it'll be a more forgettable thing . . . unless I suddenly find myself recording 100 F here at Folkestone next week.

During the Summers of 2003 and 2006 I seemed to be constantly wiping my forehead and my tshirt would be seemingly stuck to my back whilst in this room, I feel I have been nowhere near to that level this Summer yet.

Not had any sleepless nights due to the heat/humidity - and we've had 3 days now with the temp over 30c in my garden. It's been a decent hot spell, especially compared with recent years, but nothing like 2003 or 2006.
