Looks like Hawarden has broken 30C at least (showing a rounded 31C as the max) so that makes seven days on the trot with 30C+ somewhere in the UK. Quite respectable.

Probably already been mentioned already but what would it take to get to "heatwave index 4 - national emergency"?

What purpose do they serve, other than to let us know what we already know.!

This stage requires social and healthcare services to target specific actions at high-risk groups.

Does anyone know what specific actions are being targetted at high-risk groups?

Coolest day for a while here - max 23.8°C

We were at South Shields beach all day - sunny, 22°C, it was lovely.

Whilst I love it hotter, this is still gorgeous weather.

EDIT: I might add, this looks like the last properly hot day of the spell up here... a day at the beach was a great way to say "thank you! Please come again soon".

Maxed at 21.9C today, with a fresh NE breeze (again!). Still, at least the sky remained blue, so it looked like a heatwave from indoors

Personally, today and yesterday have been excellent. 23C or so, blue skies, a breeze to hide the humidity... not bad at all.

As the hot spell comes to an end here (although there is a pleasantly warm spell of 5 days to come!), I am sad that E Kent/Sheppey didn't get some really roasting temperatures like the rest of us.

Kind of hurts that Northern Ireland reached 30C before Yorkshire did. 30.1C at Castlederg today which is just silly.
