Not that it's made me put long trousers or a jumper on! I'm still in "heat mode". Especially after this today:

Nice pic, Nick (picnic) 😛

Similar scenes around the UK coastline over the last few weeks. What a boost for the UK tourism industry 👍

For us, though, the heat is over - the next few days will be cloudy and warm, with sun in the afternoon maybe. To be honest, I'm happy with that - I desperately need to get some work done and there's no way I would do it if this heat continues.

I suppose, with the school holidays starting, we're likely to see more reports of grass fires.

At least it will be mild!

Castlederg's 30.1C today is only 0.7C off the all time NI record set in 1976, fact fans.

Meanwhile here it was still warm enough to have dinner outside at 10pm although I did have to put a jacket on. The last week has been the first week I haven't had to wear a jacket at all since probably 2006.

We regularly have BBQs outside where it's fallen to about 15°C by the time pudding is served. Not a jacket in sight. If the kids moan, I tell them if they're cold, then they're not eating fast enough.

I never enter in the at 9C before as I am used to 25C or over in Cyprus but otherwise it good to see 18C reached over NE England.
