Another completely overcast start. It's supposed to burn off to complete sunshine, but then it was yesterday as well and it didn't.

20.9°C was the max here yesterday. It's well and truly over up here.

That's basically forecasting unbroken sunshine. Mind you I've always felt the MetO regional forecast is a joke for here. How can we be lumped in with a peninsula hundreds of miles away and be classed as regional?

We've had some rain here which is no bad thing, brightening up a little now but still overcast

Another great sunny start here in Bournemouth and already up to 21c. Last night 4c warmer than recent nights even with a clear sky and cooler day yesterday so should be a hot one today. Managed 27c yesterday. Heading off to the beach in bit.

Wall to wall sunshine much to my surprise. The cloud cleared quickly around noon, but I expected it to be patchier and linger a lot longer like yesterday.

Ah. NOW the real heat is now starting to kick in properly over here, I'm recording 26.5 C in the shade and it is starting to feel it too.

Tomorrow is going to be like Hell On Earth with the added increased humidity and slack winds.

Hottest day of the year today here. Max was 27.3c. The light to moderate easterly breeze did a good job of disguising a dewpoint of 18c.

The sun did break through by late morning and the temps recovered to a reasonable 27.8c.

Hotter and more humid tomorrow. I desperately hope it is horrendously humid. I want to feel a really hot and moist day before this ends. We've had plenty of hot, but the air has been dry.

Temps holding up very well so far this evening as the very warm (15°C+) uppers make their entrance. It's also becoming increasingly humid with an increasingly sticky feel to things. Could have done with this turning up about 10 hours later!

We have had the first waft of humidity here today. On closer inspection of my stations data it would appear that we maxed at a dewpoint of 19.2c when the air temperature was 27.1c at 16.40hrs.

Not as hot as it has been with a sea breeze, but  we were sat outside a pub on the Menai Strait later at around 4.30pm and, sheltered from any breeze, it was baking. My dad said that the sun had hardly broken through all day in 'Tellins.

Not had chance to post on here over the weekend (obviously) but I recorded my highest temp IMBY on Friday. We set out at around 4pm and it was uncomfortably hot - the kind of heat where you don't even move and break out in a sweat. The outdoor sensor read 31.3c when we left. It maxed out at 32.5c later that day. It's not 100% accurate, but gives a very decent crack at the correct temp.

When we set off in the car, its thermometer read 43c!!!! I tried to get a picture but by the time I'd fished my phone out it had dropped to 42c  I'll upload & post the pic when I get chance. It dropped to a more realistic 33c within half a mile.

Glad to say that the aircon in my current car is bob-on. With climate control set to 17c, it felt like being sat in a fridge
