According to Wundermap, it is between 29 C and up to 34 C (I think that is a poorly shielded sensor) in my area but it really does seem to be not feeling as hot as that. After all, it is easy for me to sit in the garden where a soothing breeze is tickling me.

PS: Just popped upstairs to look at my own weather station readings and it is reading 25 C. That'll do nicely for me.

I think you might just be getting used to the heat. It certainly felt cool at the weekend for me, even though it was 22C. Last week's 29C here didn't feel too horrendous for me either, but I was sweltering the week before.

Hot, humid and sunny in the centre of London. Went out for some lunch from an air conditioned office and it feels tropical.

Yet in The shade it feels pleasent and not that warm... More like 23-24. However in the garden in the sunshine it feels sweaty hot.

Up to 31 at Heathrow now. It would be good to get a 33C out of this otherwise 2013 doesn't look much better in the records than 2012. 34C would be ideal. It feels like a Heathrow day or failing that one for Wisley, Gatwick, Charlwood or Northolt. Those locations always do well under a due South airflow.

The coolest for at least ten days here. Currently 20.9c. Milky skies. The forecaster on 5 Live keeps telling me how hot and muggy it is.

After last night's epic thunderstorm it was very hot and steamy packing up the tent this morning in Dorset. Now on Studland beach it is 26c with only an occasional breeze. Feels pretty warm.

Northolt 33c at 2pm makes it the hottest day of the year. Feels quite warm today have to say.

Once again it would seem like a rather pathetic plume is the best that can be offered. I remember the days where a plume meant warm southerlies and 30 degree heat even on the south coast.

25.5C at the moment with a cool east/ southeast wind.

Sorry if this has been asked before.  Any ideas why there is no official record temp for central London? Too much of a heat reservoir maybe?

23.1C here at the moment, where is this "uncomfortable" humid hot air that was forecast?  unless it arrives later? also dew point still similar to what it was few days ago so not much change in the airmass here yet.

I went out earlier and there is that chlorine smell that tells me the humidity is high, pollution is on the rise and the wind is from the continent. The smell of all large cities on Eastern continental margins the world over.

Charlwood is currently hottest with 32.9c then Northolt 32.5c. Its a shame its abit of a one day wonder this plume because we could have been looking at record temps if it had hung around for a few days.
