First night time storm here in Mid Sussex for 6 years last night. Other than a couple of rumbles we've had no storms that I've seen for the past two years. Didn't think anything was forecast last night so was a nice suprise when we got a fast moving but spectacular storm about 1am.

Mostly CC but got a few CG

Didn't manage to get many pics but those I did get about summed it up.

NB. New lens on the camera and didn't figure how much rain it would gather on the front element (hence all the rain splodges) which was a shame.

Just had a rumble of thunder and a torrential down pour at Stevenage. Right at the end of the shower train here.
Nice capture goldieno 👍

Thunder element has died back somewhat now with my detector showing a significant reduction in strikes over the last hour. Nevertheless, the showers keep coming thick and fast.
