Blowing a gale again. Gusts up to 52 mph at Langdon Bay, lashing rain. Getting used to this now...

It's still quite gusty/blustery here in nature but the rain has eased off so it's not looking "quite so rough".
As many of you are aware, there is another round of wind to look forward to on Friday but since that looks like coming in from the SW, perhaps my local natural windbreak may be more effective in shielding me from the full effects of it this time round - or is that me being hopeful?
Having said that, it looks like Ireland, the South West, Western side of England and Scotland that are set to cop it the most - and of course there is the ongoing flooding issues caused by persistent and heavy showers - and on top of all that are spring tidal surges - another additional worry for those living on prone low-lying coastal areas.
I'm going to find it very amusing if there are talks of water shortages come the summer.
