What caused the weather before that I wonder.
I wouldn't be surprised if she did say that, they just can't help themselves and are totally brainwashed.

Quote Beeb article:

"Has the UK truly 'stocked up' on rainwater?"

Quote:

"Hard as it is to believe now, two years ago the UK was seriously preparing for drought. Since then there's been a lot of rain, so does it mean there won't be hosepipe bans for many years?"

Winds will continue to ease this evening and it will become clearer and
colder overnight, with a chance of frost and ice on higher grounds.

From BBC News site.
Is it just me wo finds that a bit weird? Frost on 'higher grounds' on a cool still night defies all the laws of atmospherics I ever learnt LOL

Cloudy through the evening and night with outbreaks of rain or drizzle. A few heavier bursts are likely at times. Becoming drier from the west later in the night, with occasional, locally heavy showers. Strong southerly winds, especially on coasts. Minimum Temperature 6 °C.

Tuesday:

A misty start, but cloud will break with occasional bright spells forming. Scattered showers are expected, these occasionally heavy, and perhaps thundery during the afternoon. Moderate or fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum Temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Broken cloud on Wednesday with bright intervals. Heavy rain Wednesday night and Thursday morning with strong winds, then brighter with occasional showers. Windy with bright spells and showers on Friday.

Nothing changes - when they announced there was no end in sight to the drought a few mays ago, it peed it down for the next few momths within a fortnight.

Lrf's are guesswork. even a decent stab at the lw pattern can deliver a big fail on a local level.

The media are looking for scapegoats as per usual

Yellow warnings out for Wiltshire (amongst others now)

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=map

Signs of the low tracking further south each model run. I would say the met are more bullish about this than the direct model data that we can see - hoping something comes off or my wife will be very disappointed!
