I may be biased, and I do acknowledge the pathetic start Liverpool have made to the season. But I very much doubt Liverpool couldn't overcome a 9 point deduction to avoid relegation.

Ideal scenario for me would be for the parasites to lose the court case and the sale go ahead (although the thought of being owned by more septics wanting to make money from the club fills me with nil enthusiasm). Failing that, I want RBS to take the club into administration. The new Septics would likely pick up the club for a bit less, theoretically giving them more funds to make available for much-needed transfers.

The only problem with this theory, as the piece highlights, is that the prospective owners may not share your optimism about Liverpool's ability to overcome the 9-point deficit, should it occur.

The only light at the end of the tunnel from your point of view is that (from my cynical perspective) the powers-that-be will fiddle it so that no 9-point deduction occurs, precisely because it is Liverpool, rather than say Portsmouth involved. Expect some Ali Bongo antics in the next few days when it comes to the club's accounts and subsequent sale.

He is a very good player, but also a liability and if he was sold, we probably wouldn't miss too much, as we play most matches without him anyway.

Equally in football markets such as this it's the big betters who determine the odds, rather than you and me. So they tend to reflect where a lot of money has gone from relatively few punters.

Always a favourite place for WUM's, but today it's genuinely depressing to see the level of hate displayed by some people toward Liverpool, now their dream of a bloody Liverpool implosion seems to have been averted.

You could say that about anybody with any success though, I would wager that a poll of most hated clubs over the last 20 year would be topped by Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, it's just envy. Mind you from my point of view, top would always be Newcastle

Actually, if you go on the Sunderland bulletin board (of which you know) there was a poll done (in a thread) of the five clubs fans most hated. Very prominent were Leeds and Spurs - two clubs that fans could hardly be envious of, given their recent lack of success. MK Dons got a dishonourable mention too - largely because it's a faux club.

Liverpool also featured because, like Spurs fans, they are regarded as arrogant. Nowhere were Spurs fans criticised for being whiners though.

For me the most hated would be MK Dons,Manure, Norwich, Arsenal, Liverpool then Chelsea.
