I love a hot summer, Last week we were regularly getting into the 30+ range, and re: the classic hot bedrooms, I invested in a couple of tower fans which at least circulate the air in the bedrooms. and have made a homemade 'netting on a frame 'bug screen' which means my wife and I can leave the window open and allow cooler air in without being bitten to death.
However i have been working close to Heathrow the last couple of weeks (that great concrete retainer of heat), and staying in a hotel with air conditioning, the real answer to the hot night problem . I'm also working in the day in an air conditioned office and driving to he hotel in an air conditioned car , so i'm actally only experiencing the current hot weather at weekends and during a 30 minute lunch break!

My ideal summer's day is sunny, around 20 to 21C with a light breeze. More than happy being in T-shirt and shorts at that temperature, plus you can do physical work without pouring with sweat.

Anything above the mid 20s is a pain as far as I'm concerned. At least when it's cooler, you can just add clothing to get comfortable. Mind you, we were in Sardinia a few years ago thinking how great the weather was at 20C for late October but all the locals were walking around in heavy jackets and overcoats.

If I'm on holiday (which isn't often) then hot is in, if I have to work in it then it's out, as it is today at a nice fresher 22.9C is perfect.

After the crap winters, springs and summers we've had I love it

Best way to cool down if it's too hot is wet your T-shirt, evaporation cools you down
