Met Office still only have us as a yellow warning.  Temp -0.2c, DP -1.6c, snow depth 6-7cms here now and still coming thick and fast.  It's good snowballing stuff as well.  My son and I are now drying off and thawing our fingers, though I came off worse as usual.

Sigh, drive back from in-laws in Luton where it was 3.5c and the odd splodge visible to (granted car thermometer) 9c going past Heathrow and finally 7.5c here in Epsom. Can't see any hope of anything this far South even as it exits South.

Just put my boots on and had a family walk in the snow. It's starting to turn slushy on the main roads. I managed to persuade my 14YO daughter to make a snow angel for those unlucky enough to have no snow to enjoy.

It's still snowing, but the depth on my garden furniture has only increased marginally past 6cm. The temperature  is 0.5 Celsius, so the thaw could be underway unless the air temp drops sharpish

what a fantastic surprise today has been. Started to rain about 1pm here in Wirral... i drove to manchester for 12, it was 5*c thee, then actually rose to 6*c through Stockport. Then steadily dropped to 5*c. then i met the rain near Runcorn, it dropped again to 4*c. then to 3* by chester services...

Then 50 mins later on the coast at new brighton it was sleet and snow but very very wet, big puddles everywhere... then got alot heavier about 5pm.

Drove home through the snow at 6pm was great to see such amount of large flakes falling.

Proper snow stopped about 8pm at that stage we had about 2 inches lying, a further 0.5-1 inch has fallen, but has since started to rapidly thaw... massive puddles everywere, with big rivers flowing down the roads. Doubt much but grass lying snow will be visable tomorrow.

Great night... really surprised we would get anything.

right place right time, hardly ever happens in this part of the world

We have light rain now here

Still a covering everywhere that's been untouched, especially on grass. Hoping the clear skies arrive soon so the temp dips below freezing to protect what's left.

Nothing here had some sleet in the heavier stuff earlier possibly might get some light stuff after 12 as the cold air comes back into the mix
