You've done a lot better with altitude there Dave. I'm in Bath right now and there's bugger all.

I toyed with the idea of driving the long way over the top, but decided to stick to the A46 instead #chicken

Around a centimetre of snow in Poynton, north east Cheshire. At work in Stoke-on-Trent and just a very light dusting in the city centre.

No snow here in my part of the East Midlands, just a frost, clear blue sky and sunshine but the temp is struggling to get above freezing.

We finished with about 4 or 5cm on most surfaces - a little more in some places. It made the roads locally rather slippy for a while first thing but they are clear now. I'll try and post some pictures later. I have to say I find this kind of weather fascinating - the difference only 50m in height makes is really huge.
Snow in the morning and storms in the evening - leaving aside the inevitable impacts on people you couldn't ask for much more as a weather fan. :-)

Around 3-4cm lying here, first covering for 2 years. Looks pretty in the crisp winter sun and blue skies.

Also had thundersnow last night - heavy snow, big hail and overhead thunder and lightning. That's the 3rd or 4th thundersnow event in the past couple of years.

I was going to say we had zilch last night till the wife said when she came in "I see you had your snow then," out in the garden there was the frozen remains of a dusting of snow in some of our flower pots and on the shed roof, I didn't look hard enough lol.  so wow that was that, bit disappointing really.

Whilst Exeter had sleety rain Dartmoor enjoyed a good covering of snow:

The car this morning was frozen-up, and there were little white dots on small snow-pellets scatted over it. Same just outside Manchester city centre on the pavement.

Meanwhile, the M62 over the Pennines looks nice, if not particularly deep

Well last nights half glass empty approach paid dividends with 2cm of fresh snow falling overnight, though it's thawing fast now. Still this is the first proper fall of snow since December 2010.

5cm lying snow this morning which is very nice. Had about 1cm lying by end of afternoon yesterday. Evening snow band was a bit disappointing with most snow showers further north thru central belt. But this mornings snow was heavier. Nice to have a walk in snow with crunchy sounds!

Went on a snow hunt with a friend last night. We witnessed dropping temperatures, violent lightning and a small amount of hail followed by our first sleet of the last year. None of that when I got back to mine, although apparently there was a light snow shower (convinced it was actually sleet they saw). Kept peeking out of the window in the small hours of this morning, but of course - with the local government's fab idea to turn the streetlamps off during the critical hours for lamp post watching, my efforts were pointless, and everything was still green this morning.
