We've been plagued by sea fog on the Wirral this weekend. I think today was the third morning in a row with thick fog up to around midday, with a window of sunshine for 3 or 4 hours in the afternoon. However even across the Wirral alone there have been some really big contrasts, with thick fog all day along the north coast (and the eerie sound of fog horns sounding for the shipping coming into Liverpool), while the skies cleared at Thurstaston on the Dee estuary (below) in the afternoon.
It has been lovely when the sun does poke through!
