20C in gosport - possible it might have reached a tad warmer in Portsmouth... I was out of town on the downs with no need for a jumper. Lovely spring day 🙂

We've been plagued by sea fog on the Wirral this weekend. I think today was the third morning in a row with thick fog up to around midday, with a window of sunshine for 3 or 4 hours in the afternoon. However even across the Wirral alone there have been some really big contrasts, with thick fog all day along the north coast (and the eerie sound of fog horns sounding for the shipping coming into Liverpool), while the skies cleared at Thurstaston on the Dee estuary (below) in the afternoon.

It has been lovely when the sun does poke through!

Left Glossop in the most at 12.30 with a temp of 10c. By the time I got to the Snake Pass summit the skies instantly cleared. I was shocked the see the car temp rise up from 10c up to 21c on the approach to Ladybower!

The temps through many of the Pennine/Peak valleys around there was between 19-21c and really quite unexpected.

Buxton was much chiller at 15c despite the sun. Got home to a temp of 17c at 5pm.

Blue sky all day was warmer than the 31st October which was the last time we saw high temps. I was out for around 6 hours and have a great tan. The davis v2 at the Rowcroft Hospice which I know to be a reliable local station reported 21c today. It was great to see how busy it was and tons of people in shorts and t's.

16.2C here after a ground frost first thing, really unusual that we aren't getting the sea fog in a spell like this.

Another lovely warm day.  One of my stations isn't working and I don't trust the other as the sensor is on a sunny wall, but I'd say IMBY it was between 18c and 20c.  Blue sky all day and just a light breeze later this afternoon.

not so warm down here in this corner  it did touch 16 earlier around 1pm but after 3 fell back to nearer 10 degrees

also juts to comment on inaccurate readings from electronic weather stations Ive noticed many anomalies in local stations during sunny conditions often the sensors give inaccurate readings  same on my car , its accurate at night and when its not bright or sunny . Thermometers should be well away from buildings and fences and anything that radiates heat

Nearly as sunny here today, not as cold first thing but not as warm later either 14C (nearly 17C yesterday). Air quality seems to be deteriorating as well.

Alton reached 19.7'c yesterday which is the highest so far this year.....that following a frosty start at -0.2'c is pretty impressive. Indeed, it was the 5th straight frost
