Palace were incredibly lucky, Norwich robbed. Even Pardew himself said they were outplayed for most of the 1st half and he had to change things round, this after getting an 'against the run of play' goal. Palace did improve a fair bit, but Norwich pulled one back then had a late equaliser ridiculously ruled out for a foot up (it was an overhead kick, the sort we all applaud for the skill shown). Palace then grabbed a third in the dying seconds when Norwich were chasing.

I'm sure Palace will do fine over the season, mind.

There was some luck... possible penalty not given for a push on a Norwich Fwd and the goal that was dissalowed for a high foot.

Indeed. I only saw the second half but thought they were also outplayed for most of it. TBH Ozil is the new Arshavin. 

Even Arshavin gave Arsenal fans a few games to remember though. I'm really puzzled by Ozil. You'd think a player of his intelligence, craft and technique would thrive in this team.

I'm sure it's purely mental, that is, an issue of confidence and belief in him. He's been off form for so long now, that perhaps only a change of club/scenery can revive his career?

Professor Dim made the point that Benteke loves crosses (of the footballing variety). Starve him of those and that solves part of the problem.

Well he's certainly not the old Ozil. The PL is very unforgiving when you ponce around on the ball thinking you have all the time in the world.

That's the thing - he's been just as anonymous in the big games vs top 4 teams when he would be allowed more time and space on the ball to create. I think his confidence is shot to pieces.
