A cell passing just to my east, very close though and very dark.
Right on the edge of it.
The rain has started in Peasedown.....

Can here these two local storms rumbling away
That was some entrance! Very defined leading edge and then a great wall of torrential rain, those trees in the background completely disappeared. The heaviest rain I've seen all year. Thunder constant - unfortunately the lightning is largely hidden but a few strikes.
Still rumbling away as we speak.
That's a great shot Can't remember a time we've had scenes like that over this way! Very impressive radar returns in general this evening.
I'd just posted on the CC thread how lucky we'd been to get a beautiful & sunny afternoon when the heavens opened
A thunderstorm here at the moment.
Just had the best thunder and lightning in ages here - very unexpected!
Took a timelapse of the cell that passed to the west

Sadly nothing thundery so far, it certainly has been looking as though it'll get going but seems to die before it reaches here then sparks up again further north. Plenty of rain this morning though with some torrential bursts at times, might be lucky later.
Some thunder and lightning here from 7 .a.m but the rainfall has been particularly intense at times.Really warm rain though.
Been a very wet morning here in Kilmersdon this morning with really dark conditions at times. Wind having been a bit gusty at times near the bursts of heavier rain has settled NW or West now as fresher air nudges in. Sadly no thunder but 15mm of rain since midnight so far and rising quickly as the rain continues to fall along this pivoting front. I think the thunder risk here has receded now and my own thoughts are that this rain will edge away to the North around midday and weaken. Trouble looming for tonight and tomorrow though down to the SW.
