Images of snowfall coming in from central and northern Scotland this morning. Seems to be an inland event. The showers are heading south into the central belt where it's sunny and -1 C here in Edinburgh. A wee bit of potential perhaps?

Had some brief wet snow earlier but now heavy drizzle and cold only 2 C. Better potential here later tomorrow from showers off the North Sea

Moderate falls forecast for central and northern Scotland today and for Fife, Lothian and Borders tomorrow. I think sleet or rain right on the coast. Some of this snow will filter down into NE England later tomorrow

We had a bit of sleet/hail is morning and some drizzle this afternoon. None of the disruption one would have expected with a weather warning (covering 50 miles out to sea as well).

Rather than starting a new thread. I have editted the title of this one so it can be used for reports of snow as well as the snow potential discussion.

There's a nice covering inland on the A93 currently http://braemarscotland.co.uk/snowgate-webcam/

My phone tells me it will snow this morning. We'll see. Precip band just about here and it looks cold and drizzly.

Light wet snow here leaving a slushy covering on favoured surfaces. Temp 0.4c and very slowly falling. To be honest despite the snow it just looks very bleak, wet and cold outside. Just the wrong side of marginal.

Light slushy covering in Edinburgh South side. Visibly white above 100m on the Braids.
Snow showers are wet at 1 C so marginal. Still plenty upwind. I'm heading to work on the yacht...will be rain down there for sure!

Yes, you can see the thicker blobs in the rain here too. Might be wet snow up at Medstead and Four Marks.

Just drove to Bristol and back and there was sleet with a few flakes of snow mixed in around Odd Down in Bath and more at Hinton Charterhouse, highest points of the trip so maybe snowing higher up on the Mendip hills.

Raining with impunity here. I've clearly brought the rain back from the Alps.

Was sleety here earlier on, but now the temp seems to be rising quickly and the rain front breaking up....interesting to see how Marcus is doing further north of me from here...
