No improvement so far, and unless there is a change by this time tomorrow, the doctor has just told me I won't be going home just yet.

Thanks for the best wishes guy's.

Dougie, I can imagine your disappointment but the medics know best and it sounds like you're being well looked after.  They wouldn't have put the stent in if they didn't think it was worth it and it would be daft if they let you home too soon when you've come this far.  So don't rush things and don't let low spirits drag you down.

Let's hope tomorrow brings better news for you.

Keep those thoughts of home alive, Dougie.
It will happen.

It'll take a couple considerable period of time Dougie, but it will improve. Look forward to the relief of that. Hopefully it won't be too long

Morning all, just spent a very uncomfortable night, and despite being sick earlier on, there might just be the first tentative signs of an improvement, I hope so anyway. Still not interested in food, not even the Fortisip vitamin drinks, but have to force one down every now and again, just to show willing. The doctor will visit a bit later to decide my fate, but I suspect I will here a couple of days yet.

Thanks to all the well wishers.

Hope the signs continue to be positive Dougie!

You can't really expect to be interested in food at this stage but I don't need to say how important it is to get some form of nutrients.  So keep forcing the fortisips down for now!

The steak and chips will come later, I'm sure.   Oops!  Sorry!

Keep going, Dougie. You'll get more used and will find your new 'normal'.

Keep up the recovery signs...Has any one mentioned a glass of lemonade for clearing the stent.. The fizz is supposed to be good for it.  Best check first.....

Thanks guy's. Although you lose the security of not being in hospital if anything should go wrong, I am sure the recovery rate is much better when you are in familiar surroundings. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be free.......yessssss

Thanks guy's. I had a snooze for about an hour earlier on, and woke to find I had four new house mates. One Irish, one French, one Indian, and one Japanese. It's about as cosmopolitan as the nursing staff. Hopefully this time tomorrow I will be at home.
