Persistent rain clearing southern areas by afternoon. Sunny spells and showers following, with snow mostly restricted to high ground. Generally windy, particularly in the west with gales in places. Cold.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Unsettled conditions clearing south on Thursday. Largely dry on Friday and Saturday, but breezy in the south and east with showers. Overnight frosts where skies clear with localised freezing fog.

If people got their weather forecasts from... I dunno, the actual weather forecast rather than the Express then they would know what to expect. I doubt many people believe the hype/tripe. It just gives the British public something to whinge about, which they really enjoy.

I find it funny that they did this in 2011 again they used the same two sources  (I think we all know which I am refering too), predicting -15C by late september, and the worst winter for over 100 years with snow chaos.

Result: All three winter months + march above average, with lower than average snow fall. The first widespread event of which did not occur in september, but rather the end of dember (i.e late not early). Even if this winter is the coldest in 100 years, they shouldn't be praised for it (even a broken clock is right twice a day) because they predict death from the sky EVERY frigging year.

Today really does beggar belief. 6 months of snow.....can't they look out of their office windows and realise that it's actually sunny, cool and crsip - ie normal November weather.

I'm sure the readers of The Metro will be appalled at such misinformation. I can picture many of the more concientious readers on the District Line or waiting at Waterloo penning strongly worded letters of complaint to the editor about the gross inaccuracies.

Personally, what concerns me more is when they are irresponsible regarding news stories like Muslims, immigration, benefits etc.
