A great appointment if you ask me. Conte is very highly thought of by players. All that remains is to speculate how Chelski feck it up in the seasons to come 

It might be slightly easier for Conte, arriving after Chelsea's most moderate season in a decade and most likely no European football next season, barring a miracle run-in.

He should also be helped by the need to do some rebuilding and the absence of a large clique of senior players - and the fact the players all know that, collectively, they've underperformed this season.

From what I've read, he doesn't take any sh*t. It's definitely a good time for Conte to come in as manager. the likes of Pirlo and Buffon speak very highly of his methods.

It probably helps that he looks like a Bond villain

The Dippers were outplayed for most of the match. Better finishing from Son would have seen the three points for us.

The consensus of opinion I heard, from pundits & journos alike, was that it was two evenly-matched teams going at each other in an entertaining game.

I thought Liverpool carved out the clearer chances, you Sperms had more chances overall.

The difference between the two teams is that your lot have performed consistently; we've not (which is to be expected in a manager's first season where he's come in part-way in, not bought anyone, has had to deal with a couple of dross signings by his predecessor, and seen one of our few class players - our No1 striker - struggle with injury all season)

As I've long said, it's difficult to polish a turd - even for someone like Klopp who has a major job on his hands. A job I doubt he'll resolve even next season.

Spurs will be even stronger next year - so it matters not whether other clubs, including the Dippers, spend 'big' or not. The days of spunking millions on players and expecting instant results - are drawing to a close because the TV money will be better distributed now, meaning teams lower down the league will be able to strengthen. It's all about mental toughness; which lower level teams invariably have. So, look out for the Stokes, WBAs, Watfords and Bournemouths next season. They'll take more than a few points (like this season) from the usual suspects whose plan A always seems to be to buy an overpriced random foreigner with the intestinal fortitude of a big girl's blouse.

Apart from the fact Levy is an absolute cheapskate, I, for one, have given up playing FIFA Manager unlike fans at other clubs who perennially succumb to an overstated sense of entitlement. I mean why bother when we have some of the best young players in the country coming up through our academy who will eventually get their chance.

Marcus Edwards, for one - assuming he signs a contract extension - could end up being the best of the lot. He's that good.

To add, I'd be bloody delighted if the owl-faced prick ignored Sturridge for the Euros. I remember what happened the last time Woy got hold of Sturridge (and ignored Liverpool's instructions on how to look after him).

Can't believe how much Newcastle have fallen in recent years. They are a shadow of the club they were back in the mid-90's when they were challenging for the league and regularly got into Europe.

If you think Mike Ashley's had a hard time from Magpies fans thus far, just wait to see what the response to him will almost certainly be should they be relegated this season. And let's not forget that they've already suffered relegation once from the PL since he got control of the club.

It seemed to me that Man Utd weren't allowed to play very well.

I don't see Leicester dropping enough points but you never know. It would be interesting, shall we say, if it went to the last day - current champions at home to the prospective champions.  

Rumoured that Everton have sounded out Bielsa to take over as manager.

Would love to see Bielsa in the PL. He would certainly turn Everton into Liverpool's biggest club - on the pitch at least.

P.S. I'll be rooting for Manure to beat Wet Spam in the Cup this week; oh and maybe top four. Hopefully, that will prove sufficient to keep Van Gaal in his job.
