Some queries I cannot find the answer to and perhaps someone might be able to assist:
Car MOT due 9 April. I would have to drive 3/4 mile drop off and either walk back or get a lift from someone else I dont live with as we only have 1 car in the household. What to do?

Gas safety check on a rental house is due next week, what to do.  Can it be postponed, i percieve the risk as low.

Tenant is moving out of another rental house 31st March. They have all but moved out now anyway. They will need the deposit back in these difficult times but I would need to check the house first and secure it for piece of mind. What to do.

Thanks!  I think my sister and I would both go mental if we didn’t see each other every day!

The more I think about these lockdown measures, the more questions I have and I’m sure most other people will have too.  I think the answer to them all, is to apply simple common sense and only do what you feel is necessary, while taking reasonable precautions.

If we start taking liberties, we’ll prolong the lockdown and suffer more severe consequences!

Well we might all have differing political views on here but I'm sure we all have basic common sense and an instinct about what is the right thing to do. Sadly there are plenty who don't. They create challenges for the rest of us!

Re landlord gas check I percieve risk as low but it is a legal requirement and might invalidate insurance if not done so a tricky one.

My instinct is to check the house but I don't want to be pulled up for making unnecessary journeys. Perhaps i could combine with a shopping trip to make me feel better!

Bizarre and worrying times.

I recall a mate of mine being evacuated in the middle of the night due to a big gas leak in their road. He said afterwards, "I thought about what to take with me and decided on my best flute and my PhD thesis [in progress] on CD." He was quite pleased with his priorities.
