Lying is a strong accusation which you cannot possibly substantiate. Lying implies a deliberate attempt to deceive. I'm apolitcal and I don't think for one minute think they're lying. If you lie you get caught out.

One can see that the govt doesn't always have up to date facts/figures/data and that is a failing, but it's not a deception, and they seem prepared to accept that the information they've previously given may not have been correct.

The truth may be a concept but a fact is better than that. It is something that can be proved as accurate by current evidence.

There is no evidence that we are testing the numbers we said we would, there is no evidence that we are testing more than other EU countries (Johnson quote) there is no evidence the infection rate data is accurate and there is no evidence that front line NHS workers are all receiving PPE.

In most people's judgement that should be deemed a lie, unintentional or not.

I'm concerned that elements in the Tory Party are starting to worry about money more than life.

This is sad.

But the fact he died without his family being at his side makes it so unimaginable. It’s one of the first stories from this crisis that has pretty much brought me to tears. He must have been so frightened.
