This really goes to show just how dire the summers are up in northeast England..
From the metoffice this evening:
"This Evening and Tonight:
Fine during the evening, with some hazy sunny spells. Tending to become cloudier and cooler from the northwest as the night progresses, leading to areas of mist, fog and low cloud developing later in the night in light winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C."
Yes that's a regional low of 7C in August Whilst the southeast of the country bakes with overnight lows in the 20's.
"This Evening and Tonight:
Mainly fine and very warm with light winds during the evening and overnight. One or two fleeting showers are also possible as cloud cover increases a little from the west. Minimum temperature 18 °C."
