After that sunny start to today, a number of showers are now coming through which are quite heavy at times and there's a lot more cloud around as well.

In addition to that, the temperatures are once again refusing to rise and so the temperature here in Edinburgh is currently only around 13°C.

I reached 14 C here earlier in a sunny spell but in this relentless wind and squally showers it's around 11 C or 12 C most of the time. The wind is roaring around the house like it does in winter! A thick jumper and waterproof needed outside today 😧

No such issues down here, of course. It's breezy, but far from cold: a mix of sun and cumulus, as it has been all day, 20.6 / dew 7.9 (unusually low, and all the more pleasant for it), with a high so far of 22.1.

Watching Wimbledon in a very different world to here. Lashing rain here and 11 C. Heating will be coming on again soon. It's only 17.1 C indoors!

Dull, wet and quite windy all making the current 15.5 C & mid 90% H feel bleak and cold.

As Matty would say, utter gash.

Yesterday was the nicer day with some half decent sunny breaks but a brisk SW wind meant it was too chilly to sit outside for long despite a max of 21 C in early afternoon. Couldn't complain about it being too humid, I guess.

It's currently 16.6, dew 15.6, and the high so far is also 16.6 - it's dry for now, but still mostly cloudy.

I found yesterday afternoon was perfect for being out in the garden, can't say I felt chilly at all despite wearing a polo shirt (and, daringly, no jacket to protect my arms from the brambles I was removing).

A better day here. Less wind, no showers so far and 16 C max so 2 C warmer than yesterday. Feels ok in the sunshine 🌞

That is still poor for this time of year but is at least better than those ridiculously cold (for the time of year) temperatures which we witnessed yesterday and the Sun is even shining as well.

Funny old day down here, started with a little drizzle and then the sun came out.

We topped out at just under 21c and a DP of 18c so feeling muggy. Then the rain started...

Currently sitting on 24.8mm for the day...with light rain so likely to get to an inch I reckon

14.4C , broken cloud with passing heavy showers on a brisk W-ly

EDIT - half an hour later, the showers have gone and it's clear and sunny, and the wind has gone round a few points to the north

Lots of stations recorded lows of between 1.8 C and 3 C in The Borders last night so a ground frost likely!
I recorded 6 C which is pretty low for a July night

Last night was our coolest night of this month so far with a minimum temperature of 7.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

In addition to that, we're now almost a whole week into this month, and the mean temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank is currently running 2.16°C cooler than the 1991-2020 July average. I'm not feeling cold in my flat but it's not as warm in here as it normally would be at this time of the year.

As regards to our weather, it's cloudy yet again after some earlier sunny spells and  there are some nearby showers.

Currently around 14°C here in Edinburgh.

Sunny spells and partial cloud, 5.6 mm fell from that cold front in the early hours but now the sun being out and a brisk SW wind are doing an excellent job in shifting the dampness. However it is also making the current 17.7 C & mid 60% H feel cool and fresh.

11.3c here, not exactly summer.

13.4mm today, 40.4mm since yesterday morning, which is almost 3x June's total. Meh!

A very unusual day for July - after the early rain, it's been a mix of sun and cloud, but the wind... it's not very often you get gusts into the 40s in mid-summer, or for that matter 50mph at the yacht club in Sheerness. I'd imagine it'll be a bit chaotic at the Kent County Show up on the North Downs near Detling!
The other unusual thing is the temperature: it's 15.9, dew 10.0, and that's a good 5 or 6C below average for the time of day.
Despite all that, it's a great day for being outside (I've been working in the garden) IF you can avoid being blasted in the face by the wind. It feels more like a pleasant spring day temperature wise than the usual sticky, sultry feel we have down here in summer.
