Here's a bit of useless info. The four clubs at the top of the Prem were the four clubs in the bottom 4 when Alex Ferguson took charge of Utd 25 years ago

City 3-2 up now, turning into a tougher game than they expected, they struggle to keep clean sheets in the Prem

Don't know if this has been touched upon in this, or another thread, but isn't it a disgrace that the England players can't have the poppy on their kits?

I couldn't care less about the game - in fact I hate international breaks like the one coming up, but still it is a shocking ruling from Fifa, and in the words of Jeff Stelling earlier today, they should hang their heads in shame!

Agree reference the poppy, also agree with Matty, what would FIFA do?

I don't think they'd do anything, to be honest. I find it simply an insane decision to ban them in the first place. Mind you, they've got nothing to lose if they did take action if we did ignore them (which we should! ), I mean it's not like Britain's contempt for FIFA could get any higher!

Jimmy Greaves may harken back to the good old days of tough sods like like Ron Haris - who would make 'JT' look like a little ponce. Unfortunately, because full contact has pretty much been legislated out of 'modern' football, Harris wouldn't be able to function in today's game. Sad, but true.

Just imagine a team featuring Harris, Hunter and Mackay.

Friedel's performance was the best I've seen by a goalkeeper in recent years. The only performance close to that was Hart's against us at the beginning of last season.

Good away win for Spurs , though Fulham can count themselves a tad unlucky

Dalglish stropping about having to play City on Sunday 27th Nov, then Chelski on Tuesday 29th in the Carling Cup.

Liverpool have apparently been told they can't rearrange the Chelski game, which is probably the right decision.

I'd have more sympathy for Dalglish's argument if he'd dared speaketh out against the all-powerful Sky Sports, who have decreed Liverpool-City will be played on the Sunday for their viewing schedules, and not the Saturday.

Right, I'm not known for my soft views on tax evasion/avoidance (in fact, at risk of turning this into a UIA-style bunfight, I want to see zero tolerance)

But the sums involved really are small-fry, compared to some. Phillip Green dodged a tax bill of around £400m by making his company's dividend payment to his tax-exile wife (in Monaco, coincidentally)
