Carroll may not be worth £35m but he is being marginalised, therefore it's not entirely his fault that he isn't scoring.

I didn't see the match last night, but from what I read, Kuyt had an absolute 'mare, which further negatively impacts on Carroll.

John - it's getting a bit tiring repeating myself here. Last time: I'm not saying Suárez DIDN'T use the term in a racist way. I'm criticising the argument that has been put forward about a) the term per se being racist; b) that it is a "cultural" issue. The way it has been dealt with in the media, and, by the looks of it, by the FA has dealt with it has been shoddy at best, (inadvertently?) racist at worst, in effect presenting Spanish and Latin Americans as racist, but with thet idea that racism is "acceptable" in "their" culture. I'm not sure why you aren't getting that this is what I am strongly critical of.

As for not appealing, possibly. Possibly (also) because, whether they have a case or not, they know they won't win - a backtrack now from the FA would be politically disastrous.

Tell you what, Tottenham have a fighting chance of winning the league this season - it's certainly there to be challenged for.

I think Manure are a shadow of the side they've been in some previous years, but have done well to battle hard at times to get points - and they'll always have a bit of a hoodoo over some teams who get intimidated by their reputation.

Saying that, they could still win the league; they're only 3 points off 1st and have so much experience.

It'll be crucial how City cope with the major disruption of the ACN. They've got the squad to cover, for sure, but will they be able to re-jig their team succesfully?

Makes me quite frustrated to see Liverpool's plight. I can think of 4 games we've drawn where we've outplayed the opposition (including the Man U game) but failed to land the winning goal. With another 8 points, we'd be right in it - and no European football to distract us.

I'm not so sure now because of the injury issues that are beginning to pile up - not least Sandro, who could be out for months. Hopefully not.
