I think they'll lose to Chelsea and still believe Chelsea will win the PL (much as I hate to admit it). Chelsea, IMO are technically and physically stronger than Utd. Do you believe either Anderson, Park or Carrick (to name three obvious examples) would get into the Chelsea team? I certainly don't.

IF Chelsea can get out of this rut then yeah I agree it would look like they could have the title in the bag but they need to start playing. If they can't? I would surely think it would be Man U's title (although I think this might go to the last day and you got Man City lurking................)

Yep I agree with you that Chelsea need to improve. I think they have the class to do so.

It was a poor game last night, very sloppy at times. There are reasons for this the pitch, the occasion and SAF tactics. SAF played 3 hard working players in midfield and they nulled anything that Arsenal creative talents could muster. Fergie got one over on Wenger tactically and Man U ran out winners thanks to a rather fortunate Park header. It was pretty much a bounce game for Vidic and Ferdinand they made it look so easy.

Arsenal proved why they probably will not win the Prem title.. No leadership, no aggression, no desire and lacking in mental strength. Arsenal always have the majority of the ball against Man U and Chelsea but havent beaten either in 10 prem games.

Despite the win Man U need to strengthen in defence, midfield and require the replacement for VDS. Man U will be very happy with the win and a 2pt lead with a game in hand.

Arsenal... well i really dont know what it will take for them to achieve what some of their displays deserve. Maybe Wenger should look at buying one or two British players to give them the desire and aggression.

One thing that is a concern is only one player for Arsenal that was in the starting XI was British, likewise Man U starting XI there was only 4. Not good for British national sides and the ruling does need changed !! I am sorry but foreign playes brought over from abroad at a young age are not home grown players !!!!

As I've said before, Arsenal's problem is lack of width. They seem intent on trying to play their way through defences. Barcelona can clearly do that, Arsenal cannot (all the time).

It was an obvious penalty, came back off Clichy's hand as Nani tried to play it past him. It was an easy decision. Intentional or not it stopped Nani progressing further into the box, how Wenger can claim it wasn't a penalty is baffling!

Apart from the fact Clichy slipped, had to put his hand on the ground (which people normally do to break a fall) and the ball hit his hand, you are absolutely correct.

He did all of that yes, but it's still a breach of the rules and a penalty. I am biased as a united fan though

Chelsea v Man U game called off. I think SAF would have been happier to have played the game with Chelsea in poor form and Man U still having not lost in the prem. Healthy and Saftey...blah blah. Just read comments made by Arry Redknapp he  is astonished todays game at the Bridge got postponed !!  I think this is a bit of gamesmanship by Chelsea.

World class save from Gordon on Saturday and another hard fought win from my lot. I've said this once or twice before, but in the last 20 years we would have lost that match (or certainly conceded) more of often than not. I'm not about to start going all Geordie and thinking we can get champions league or anything silly, but I do think that perhaps top 8 or 9 is a realistic aim for Sunderland this year.

The top 5 are pretty much 'nailed on' (to coin a phrase from model output), the placings are from nailed obviously but Man U, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Spurs will have those 5 places done and dusted. There are still some good teams that will make a strong push in the new year, Everton, Liverpool, perhaps Villa and with the league being so tight, if anyone of those teams goes on a bit of a run then they will no doubt go passed us. But I'm pretty confident of top 8 at the moment.

Sure is an odd league this year Saint, but I'm still expecting Chelsea to win it. City were always going to be hit and miss and I might get shouted at for saying this but Arsenal would have won a few trophies in the last 4 years if they had replaced Wenger..........perhaps even with the squad as it is.

It is looking good for Man U at the moment in a fairly strong position at the top and really not playing at their best. Getting Valencia back will be a big plus for Man U and hopefully we will manage to keep the top players fit as Man U really dont have the strength in depth. Has been a really odd premeirship season, very unpredictable and i still believe Liverpool could nick a European spot...tho facing Man U in the cup doesnt do them many favours.
