After today's announcement, it is clear that HMG is prioritising the economy over delaying the spread of Covid-19. This is extremely disappointing news and shows very poor judgement at the top of government. It looks like they are content to let it rip.

I suspect things can and will unravel very fast in the coming days. Boris has to be very careful - he will find out very quickly how any goodwill he has built up can quickly dissapear.

I am also still if the mindset that because of its nature it will spread almost irrespective of our actions and the best we can do is to mitigate that spread and prepare.

A case of reinfection, which I never read anything more about.

Just looking at this map, which is apparently updated up to today (there is no way of knowing if this is the case) and I find the distribution of the virus interesting, in that the concentration of cases is highest in western Europe:

Tin foil hat time, but this staggering incompetence from the US and the UK must be by design, almost as an opportunity?

Are they happy to take the short term hit on the health care systems, as long as they don’t crash the economies - plus they wipe out the elderly and infirm, thus taking easing the burden on social and health care significantly in the future.

This has got Cummings written all over it.

My point is that we cannot really draw many firm conclusions from the currently available evidence. There is a risk of misinformation (accidental and deliberate).

I am also still if the mindset that because of its nature it will spread almost irrespective of our actions and the best we can do is to mitigate that spread and prepare.

We were reflecting today that in 50 years we have only caught flu 3 times each without taking any avoiding action, except in latter years when a flu vaccine became available. Working on a roughly similar risk for Covid-19 we stand good chance of avoiding it completely, using a bit of applied common sense, though what will be will be, of course.

We are mostly adequately prepared. Because I have underlying health issues I shall try to avoid doing anything too foolish once it shows up locally! We went to our Monday exercise class today for example. If I hear of any fellow jogglers who are down with it I shall call a halt to that immediately.

This is a Sunni Muslim designed virus, or probably an African one in order to take revenge on the Western masses and elites and their Chinese wannabes.

COBRA are meeting again on Wednesday.

I am not happy with the Government today - their approach seem far to relaxed.

When it comes to Europe, that is easily explained - unfortunately, the outbreak in Italy coincided with half term in most European countries and those Italian ski slopes were beckoning - that is why it has spread so rapidly from Italy to the rest of Europe.

This is concerning:

"A pupil at a school in Warwickshire is self-isolating at home after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

The Rugby Free Secondary School said it had been given confirmation of the diagnosis by Public Health England (PHE) on Sunday.

The pupil had visited Italy over half-term and self-isolated for 14 days before returning to school, but then developed symptoms at the weekend."

- so he self isolated for 14 days before symptoms.
