Good to know the source  Given that it is likely not fake though, are we actually suggesting the information is more credible than first thought? Could there be similar, not-yet-leaked, information circulating our own hospitals?

You said you understood the reasoning? It’s not because of “social distancing”.

Did you read my previous reply, it explains the timing?

An interesting development. It appears Vallance has been "misrepresented".

But A Department of Health and Social care spokesperson said that Sir Patrick's comments had been misinterpreted.

"Herd immunity is not part of our action plan, but is a natural by-product of an epidemic. Our aims are to save lives, protect the most vulnerable, and relieve pressure on our NHS," he said.

How many asymptomatic cases are there ?  How many mild cases that don't warrant any kind of professional intervention ? None of those are being tested / quantified.    All I have seen is "guestimates" for both those  figures  which have varied wildly !.

Yet again I've a sore throat. Been about 3-4 days now.. slight but worse in the evenings. I've read some stuff about it starting in the throat. I'm a little concerned.

You’ll be fine Nick. Only worry when you have a fever. An actual fever which is confirmed. Until then, you’re fine.

Personally, I wouldn't be too worried about a sore  throat without any of those as well.

It’s not like this is a debate. You are wrong. I have told you why, argue if you want but the reason given is as I have cleary stated twice. Restating your opinion doesn’t make it less wrong. The sports organisations may have had a different motivation but that is not what prompted the official advice. Football managers are not medical experts and the reason given (for the third time and check a reliable source) is to lessen the burden on emergency services and nothing to do with social distancing.

More inferred information which I assume has relevance for all of the UK:

Coronavirus: NI 'school closures will last for at least 16 weeks'

When schools shut in Northern Ireland over coronavirus it will be for at least 16 weeks, Arlene Foster has said.

I don’t think the symptoms sound like Covid-19 from what I have learned but you are certainly wasting nobody’s time by calling.

Stress and anxiety can themselves be serious health issues and getting some kind of answer is always better than fearing what that answer may be. I know the official advice but I think it is to stop everyone ringing 111 every time they sneeze. Explain things to them and if they are doing the job they should be they should understand and give you the correct advice.

It could be fake but I am reliably told that some NHS managers have circulated it. They could have been caught out by it.
