Quite a jump in the % of positive cases. I believe it was 6.5% yesterday

Hedonism never stops:

The online wine retailer Naked Wines has stopped taking new orders, citing a “surge” in demand yesterday from customers stuck at home.

Unfortunately people become primitive in times such as these. Therefore it is important for the more educated and intelligent members of society to tread very carefully. To my mind she is close to saying homosexuals and single mothers are doing the devil's work. In fact I worry there will be a major backlash against certain minority groups as "less sophisticated" people struggle to understand there are no easy answers.

France too. Also Greece today announced 'helicopter money', any worker who stops working due to the virus will start getting 800 euros per month. That's well above the minimum wage.

China have reported 13 new confirmed cases and 11 new deaths (all in Hubei) and 21 suspected cases.

922 more patients were discharged with 1014 released from self-isolation.

This is all pretty speculative, but for many cases we are probably talking a lag of almost a month between someone vulnerable being infected and dying.

From the police below. Internment will be here before the end of this month IMO.

In these unprecedented times, the spirit shown nationally, to help each other, has been tremendous, however sadly I need to make you aware of opportunists

Yesterday we received reports of opportunists taking advantage of the current Coronavirus pandemic, by posting flyers through doors in Bishops Stortford, requesting food donations for the YMCA foodbanks, unfortunately it’s sad to report that this is a scam. The YMCA have not been involved in this initiative.

London braces for lockdown as Government prepares emergency Coronavirus Bill

It came as sources close to the mayor’s office say they expect a shutdown of the capital in the coming days as the Government prepares emergency legislation.

Edit: There will be mass panic when this is announced so expect rationing to be enforced

This is confirmed cases rather than actual so will be a big underestimate, but the data being inputed is also a big underestimate.

If testing gets significantly better and the approximation that we are testing a given proportion of cases is no longer valid I will add a new parameter for that into the model.

A positive aspect I was thinking is that London is less densely populated than Milan and even less so than Wuhan. Many more terraced houses here even in the centre, lots more suburbia, more gardens, more parks and also quite a few empty houses of the foreign rich. Let's hope this makes us less of a hotspot.

Why not solve the homeless crisis by paying for them  to stay at the Barclay Brother owned Ritz , which is empty?
