Mrs. N. just got back from a trip to our nearest big Tesco in a state of shock.

Most shelves of essentials were bare.

She heard the vultures were queuing before it opened at 6am.

What are they doing with all this stuff?

It's insane!

Good lord. Surely a freeborn citizen would recognise the responsibilities towards others that they have?

Police say the public have been so compliant during the coronavirus crisis that they have not had to use special powers they were granted on a single occasion.

BREAKING: Spain travel advice

British holidaymakers are told to leave Spain as soon as possible amid their coronavirus outbreak.

An FCO spokesperson said: "The Spanish government have confirmed that all hotels will close in Spain from Tuesday 24 March.

"We therefore advise British travellers in Spain to contact their tour operator or airline as soon as possible, to arrange their return journey home before this date."

It deserves those shameful tourists right who wee flouting the rules.

I’ve just had a phone call from my manager at my new job. I’m meant to start on Monday but I will actually start on Tuesday (bonus paid day off!) and he is coming over to drop off equipment I need to work from home. To be honest I can’t see that I’ll have all that much to do but I have paid employment and I will be at home with no commuting. And I’ve been cracking on with the much neglected garden. Every cloud...

If testing gets significantly better and the approximation that we are testing a given proportion of cases is no longer valid I will add a new parameter for that into the model.
