Even the crappy sweaty night club around the corner from my house was open as normal until 3 am last night. Mind you, when they mentioned that on their facebook page, they did get a backlash before the main status got deleted and just carried on regardless.

It is normally open on Saturday nights so will it be the same thing tonight? Just hope people shun the place and cause it to fold up on it's own accord. I won't lament that place too much.

The carnage is spreading to Spain with over 300 deaths in the last 24 hours. It's coming to the UK unless we get a lucky break.

I was thinking about the petrol pump transmission yesterday as I had to fill the car up. I didn’t have my 50ml bottle of hand sanitiser (bought a few months ago luckily as it was on special!) so made extra site not to touch my face and washed my hands as soon as i got home. Might go out and clean the steering wheel, gear knob, door handles etc as well.

Been out in the garden with the kids this morning but feeling very distracted. I think the news of moomin’s friend has hit me that this is getting close to home.

I would be wary of picking up a pair of the disposable plastic gloves some petrol stations supply.

I really wish I had gone out and got the garden supplies I need a couple of weeks ago. I have lots of jobs I could be doing with all this time at home but need concrete, paving slabs etc. Really feeling would be foolish to go to B&Q though!

edit: re gloves, I have a box of disposable gloves in the kitchen cupboard. Didn’t have them in the car though, but I think I will be taking them when I go out in future.

BTW anybody else feeling a tightness in the chest recently? I have been for the past few days but I don’t know if it’s just psychosomatic or anxiety related!

It shouldn’t be open tonight Ian!  The PM said after closing their Friday night session, they shouldn’t re-open on Saturday.  I wonder if that rule will be enforced with loss of licences if ignored.

Now to cast a lump of gloom.

Remember the Gaia theory? That living organisms interact with their inorganic surroundings on Earth to form a synergistic and self-regulating, complex system that helps to maintain and perpetuate the conditions for life on the planet [Wiki]

Well, it looks as if Gaia has decided that Homo sapiens is taking up too much space and resources and needs cutting back in the interests of sustainability. Ouch!

Yes, I found it crazy how they closed everything else but retail outlets. With people not having much to do they will just go to these places instead. Yes a lot of people will stay away but a lot also won’t. With seen the pig headiness of people all ready who think they are immune.

This whole horrific nightmare that is unfolding has become very real for me today.

I learned this  morning that a very close friend of mine has contracted Covid19 while working in Germany last week.

He developed symptoms earlier this week and has deteriorated rapidly and is now in intensive care in a coma and a very critical condition.

This guy is a fantastic man, newly married, and he is 35 with no underlying health conditions that I am aware of.

This is REAL guys. This is just the start. I am very very upset today. Until I heard this news this morning, I thought, this won't affect me. I thought, this is something that afflicts the elderly and infirm.

Absolutely not. My friend was fit and healthy and young. He is now fighting for his life, and the next 24 hours is critical. I am praying for him, I feel so helpless. His wife cannot visit him, today is his birthday.

Please, everyone on TWO, pray for my friend. Positive thoughts are all I have right now. I pray that my friend pulls through.
