On the death statistics - if someone is being treated in hospital for COVID-19  and they die, it is pretty obvious what the cause of death is.

When someone dies outside hospital, it must be more difficult to discern cause of death.

Just out of interest, how many on here know personally of someone who has, or has had a confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19?

Have you never tried spraying your lawn with diluted Wolf poo?

I suspect some of them will have had it, but with no testing how can we be sure?

ICU bed spare capacity is very low now, but I don't have the latest numbers in intensive care.

Again, we know people who have had the symptoms of corona, one friend's kid lost a lot of weight - couldn't keep anything down because of the persistent cough - but no confirmed cases as this country can't be arsed testing.

From the BBC Website: https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-52208591

On Tuesday, European Union leaders failed to agree on financial tools to help countries in the bloc struggling with the coronavirus pandemic.

New data has since suggested a deep recession in two of its largest economies, France and Germany.

The Bank of France said that the country's economy shrank by about 6% in the first three months of 2020, the worst contraction seen since 1945.

In Germany, gross domestic product is set to shrink by almost 10% between April and June, five top economic institutes said in a report prepared for the German government.

That would be the biggest decline since quarterly record-keeping began in 1970, they said.

New world order coming.

BREAKING: The Prime minister remains in ICU and is responding to treatment

Downing Street gives latest update on PM's health

Boris Johnson's spokesman told journalists at a briefing just now that he is clinically stable and responding to treatment. He is still in intensive care and in good spirits.

As yesterday, he is also still receiving oxygen support.

The spokesman did not answer on whether the PM's temperature has gone down, as was reported overnight in The Times.

They did confirm though that he isn't doing any work at the moment but he has the ability to contact those that he needs to.

Dominic Cummings, who went into self-isolation at the same time as the PM 12 days ago, is also not back in Downing Street but has been in contact with Number 10 officials.

  1. That he is still very poorly

  2. He is still receiving oxygen

  3. His temperature has not gone down despite reports last night

  4. He is no longer in charge

This morning they said he was "breathing by himself"?

Technically I suppose he is

And how can anyone be in "good spirits" in an ICU ward? (unless he is getting some "extra attention" from a busty nurse)
