These housemates should be reported to the police. It just beggars belief.

I felt range inside me when reading through this.

You need to update yourself, Q, unless you're over 80!

Nearly one in five over-80s infected with COVID-19 are likely to require hospitalisation, compared with around 1 percent of people under 30.

https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/196573/covid-19-one-five-over-80s-need-hospitalisation/

I would suspect the true rate is a mere fraction of one percent, given asymptomatics, people with mild symptoms not realising they have it, and the fact that younger people can get rid of the virus without even involving antibodies being produced...

For the bats it was because of their high metabolism and body temperature.

Appalling!

So do couples just get round it by standing separately?

I see the Abta are fuming because Grant Shapps has advised people not to book summer holidays. I'm not a huge fan of Shapps but what he said was absolutely right. Quite frankly you'd need to have a screw loose to book a summer holiday at the moment. I wonder whether Abta's members are taking bookings simply to boost their cash flow. Shocking if that is the case.

I have another ASDA story for fairweather!

Just got back from my local one in Wallington where they are breaking up couples and families and only allowing one member of a household into the store. The others have to wait outside. To make matters worse, they are only telling people when they get to the entrance after an hour long queue.

Makes no sense as people will just queue separately next time and pretend they don't know each other

Tesco do not have this policy. I imagine ASDA will lose a lot of custom if they don't change this

Are there still hour long queues, nearest Morrisons I've yet to see a queue as such maybe slightly slower than normal walk in but recently none at all.
The only thing still low on stock is flour. Some ranges such as bread are much simplified.
Prices have crept up and notice less twofer deals, in the order of 10% more for a similar shop

Interesting discussion here on the role of the WHO in the spreading of this God damn pandemic.

Increasingly obvious that what some call a 'genuine mistake' was actually deliberate and total incompetence.

As you say, next time they will just queue behind each other, meet up inside the shop,  if necessary pay at different checkouts, then meet up at the car!

What happened to common sense!

No. i suspect you meant me. You love to take a snip and a snipe and distort. I was out there in full support on the first night, and every other out of a feeling of loyalty. If you feel me saying that I'm not always comfortable with that especially knowing how hypocritical some of them are is in someway a "dig" at the NHS workers then you seriously don't get it.

Think the main failing was not using January and February to stockpile PPE or develop manufacuturing to produce it. We had two months, what was actually achived in that time?

So, realistically we lost perhaps a month. We ought to have done better but suggesting that we should have realised there would be serious supply chain problems is only really obvious with hindsight.

Cutting their funding isn't enough. Destroying them completely is more appropriate.
