The claps must end.

Red lines are people within 2m and I've been very generous. Far more people in this photo are probably within 2 metres of each other. In any case 2m is not enough. 8m is necessary to avoid the risk.

Ridiculous. Everyone with a red line needs to receive a police caution.

I missed that. However, it does suggest that there may be scope to ease the restrictions a little, particularly as the overall figures reduce. Bear in mind that the transmission rate presumably includes settings like hospitals and care homes. If cases in these places could be isolated, you would think that that should further reduce the general transmission rates. Easier said than done, I know.

The problem is many Americans will conclude that their Drs must be retards because they can't see what is obvious to the greatest ever POTUS Trump. I expect his popularity will increase and it wouldn't surprise me if a number of people have catastrophic outcomes after trying the disinfectant treatment.

For the fans of the Swedish approach: the govt expects the biggest recession since WWII with GDP falling between 4-10%. The number of infections is also rising in Stockholm.

People that want to end the lockdown to save the economy are morons.

It will make the economic issues even worse. Imagine the exact same situation we are in now but with 10x as many daily cases and deaths.

I don't envy the powers that be who are in charge of when and how we will inevitably relax restrictions. What worries me is people and places taking matters into their own hands. That is a recipe for disaster.

Did a click and collect for a load of builders sand at Wickes in Ashford (for ‘repairs’ to a wall). Was surprised by the amount of cars out and about. Seems to me that the lockdown is petering out.
