Just seen Trump on the news and the mentions of sunlight and bleach. All he said was while looking at his advisor "we could look at that". Getting light under the skin, into the body. For disinfectant, he said he had seen it knockd it out in a minute, and is there a way we could do something with that, by injection, inside or or almost a cleaning, all while looking at his advisor and saying we could look at that.

My word, people hang on his every word. He was just thinking aloud, no direct instructions to anyone just trying to think of something that might be effective, trying to help. No way did he say you should go out and inject yourself. He was exploring, talking, communicating, not instructing!

If you could not differentiate him between instructing and exploring, thinking aloud, I am very very surprised, almost thinking you are sheep driven to heckle that pantomine villain. The BBC picked up on it but they would wouldn't they because they have an unhealthy fixation with Trump. On their sites they even write his complete dialogue which in fact I find very funny, as in the style of wording, it's his style.

So you get the same people on here blaming our people, blaming our govt, blaming Trump (people that are on our side), but have not seen these people blame China, the ones who are responsible for all this. You need to have a good look at yourselves. China is by far the biggest threat to the world make no mistake, not our people. Which side are you on?
I can only imagine this for some is a legacy of Brexit, the conservatives, the centre right. Some of you cookery loving, lycra wearing remainer types will never get over it, will you!

Wales is altering some of its lockdown rules from tomorrow

  • Social distancing rules will be extended to hospital, school and prison canteens

  • People cannot remain away from the place they live

  • Businesses offering a "click and collect" service will be able to reopen providing social distancing is observed

  • Families who have children with certain learning difficulties, including autism, will be allowed to leave the house more than once a day.

But seriously, the actual expert standing next to Trump did say that UV light and humidity is very effective and explains why so many tropical countries have few cases, and also why Miami and other US cities in the South have been less badly affected than New York and Chicago

But Dr Tegnell has told the BBC that at least half the deaths have been in nursing homes and "it's a bit unclear to us if a lockdown would have stopped this from happening or not". He also argued that the decision not to impose strict restrictions meant that there was an immunity level of up to 20% in the capital, Stockholm, "so we hope this will make it easier for us in the long run"."

Did a click and collect for a load of builders sand at Wickes in Ashford (for ‘repairs’ to a wall). Was surprised by the amount of cars out and about. Seems to me that the lockdown is petering out.

Trump is a grade A idiot, no doubt about that, and frankly I don't rate many members of the current UK government as being much better.

That said, neither Trump nor the UK govt was responsible for the coming of this disaster in the first place.

It's obvious the government is under massive pressure to ease restrictions. I think they'll have no alternative but to throw something to the piranhas. All eyes on infection rates!

Good news from New York, suggesting that far more people than expected have had the virus and that the death rate is, as a result, much lower than feared.

"In New York City, about 21 percent, or one of every five residents, tested positive for coronavirus antibodies during the state survey. The rate was 16.7 percent in Long Island, 11.7 percent in Westchester and Rockland Counties, and 3.6 percent in the rest of the state. Almost 14 percent of those tested in New York were positive, according to preliminary results from the state survey, which sampled approximately 3,000 people over two days at grocery and big-box stores. The governor suggested on Thursday that, based on the survey, the death rate in New York from Covid-19 would likely be far lower than previously believed, possibly 0.5 percent of those infected. On Thursday, Mr. Cuomo did not talk about any potential for immunity among those previously infected. "

Just beggars belief how the BBC and some here jumped on that. Seems some people have lost the ability to differentiate human conversation and the context of it. It seems people are just waiting waiting for another reason to have a pop. In this case, if you could not differentiate what and how Trump said things, you have the problem.
