With respect to trying for the local record here (34.3*C of 3rd & 4th Aug 1990 to beat), temps are doing alright so far, despite a fair bit it thin cloud cover until about an hour ago.
Already into the 25s, which is not the highest I’ve seen at this time here, but today is different to most due to the N wind which should gradually veer to NE during the day and be enough to keep the sea breeze south of here.
That last bit’s hugely important, along with avoiding much cloud cover.
As troubling as high-end heat is for me, I figure that if it’s going to be exceptionally hot for this area, it might as well break the 30 year old record! So, here’s hoping.
