Followed, in this morning's GFS, by this horrific chart:

A number of known unknowns as well as unknown unknowns as ever. However, on balance I think the pessimism is being over played. When I looked at the ensemble data in depth a coupe of days again there was a signal for an improvement and that continues to be the case.

But don’t bet against the ECM. And it’s rubbish again tonight, for the 4th run in a row.

Some modest improvement in temps over the next two weeks shown on wx maps, esp in the SE; but remaining damp mainly in the NW and along the S Coast.

GFS looks rather different and better than yesterday; the current LP to the SW fills and there is a general though rather uncertain rise in pressure over the UK through to Thu 1st when a depression near Iceland arises and moves to Norway bringing in first W-lies and N-lies though not nearly as strong as yesterday.

GEFS temps cool at first and in the S rising to norm around Sun 20th and then a little above but dipping sharply in many runs Sun 4th. Rain in the S tomorrow and again a patch around Sun 27th, a little damp after that. In the N temps recover sooner (23rd) and again staying a little above norm but with more uncertainty. Rain on and off, not as heavy as in the S but more continual esp in NW.

ECM similar to Fri 25th but the HP after that though more intense is centred to the W of the UK allowing some cool air to spill down the N Sea then and again around Wed 30th. ECM synoptics do not suggest much rain and especially not around the 27th

Decent amount of high pressure around this morning.  3 or 4 more days of unsettled then it should settle down quite nicely and become pretty warm again. West looks best

TWOers are mislocated.

Cold lover Retron lives in Leysdown on Sea, the hottest place in the world, save for Jiries’ shed.

Moomin, who hates rain, lives in Witney, the wettest locale on the planet.

As for Aberdeen, nobody wants to live there. It has the worst climate on Earth.
