What I have found slightly odd about this whole recent racism issue in the Premier League is this: Luis Suarez was found guilty by the FA of racially abusing Patrice Evra during the Liverpool v Man Utd game at Anfield last October and was subsequently banned for 8 games, but no criminal charges resulted. At around the same time, John Terry allegedly racially abused Anton Ferdinand during the QPR v Chelsea game. Terry, as far as I know, has not been punished by the FA, but has been charged by the police with racial abuse and is now facing trial in a court of law. I can only think that what Terry has been accused of doing must have been rather more serious than what Suarez was alleged to have done, otherwise I don't see how one player could be charged under the law of the land with racial abuse yet the other only faces sanctions from the FA.

The table may not say so, but are Villa relegation candidates? They are absolutely dire. They'd even have trouble in the Chumpionship.

As for City, this looks to be a team running out of steam, yet they can still grind out results.

Although I would love for QPR to go down, but again Wigan, Wolves and Bolton are excellent candidates.

I wouldn't be so sure. Villa 2 points from a possible 21 in the most recent 7 games at Villa Park. That is beyond shite.

Suárez still feels agrieved; didn't want to shake Evra's hand; I don't see why anyone sbhould have to shake someone's hand if they don't want to; fuss about nothing; blown out of all proportion by media, SAF, etc; more mindless witterings from Jason Roberts et al.; pompous self-righteousness rules everywhere; I'm bored with it.

I'm assuming the opportunity came up, although I can't remember because Bridge doesn't exactly register on my radar.

How Mick Mccarthy can not be sacked is beyond me - he can have any number of bad results - and say things wil improve - but dont

Anyway - its odds on favourite that Wolves will be in the championship next year - cannot see them escaping the drop

Define football fan? Ironically there aren't that many that post regularly in this thread.

Obviously I can't disclose, but I will say that he/she wasn't on their own.

Bugger!! I've missed something.

Saint, repost it.............I dares ya

My take is that Suarez is a horrible sort of chap right up there with Craig Bellamy, but then Evra is not blameless in all this. The group of individuals that are most at fault however are the Premier league, they made too much of the original incident (there I have said it, I'm far from being a racist and don't want it in football or society, but a conversation between 2 people on a football pitch should remain between the two) and they have allowed this to happen by not being proactive in preventing it.

I do agree with Nick as well, a load of fuss about very little.

I also put in a post yesterday that the comments should be removed from TWO as someone would find them offensive.

I am no prude and can have a laugh all day long but in this politically correct world it wasn't right that such an excellent site like this with great people on it should have left the comments on for all to see.

I have a black friend ( more than one actually ) who commented last weekend " if it snows any harder I won't see you" it is all humour , some can take it some can't............................it aint worth the risk
