A more sensible 24.4 C here on the South East Kent coast with a nice SW onshore breeze. I think I can live with that. Approve

24.4c for a 3pm reading today sounds way too low given the characteristics of the ESE'ly airmass today. I could understand if it was somewhere like Lydd with a much longer sea track today...but it doesnt sound correct for Folkestone. Even Langdon at 120 m asl was knocking in 28c at 3pm ?

Its a curious reading because WI is on the coast in Dover and managed 29.9c.

The SE Today forecast suggests that temperatures on the SE coast tonight could fall no lower than 22C!

I hope Ian's often unduly pessimistic view of Folkestone isnt going to start getting mis-represented by unfairly low temperature readings. It's been rumoured that the tourism trade is starting to suffer because of it !

Can feel the humidity rising indoors. the dew point now outside is bang on 20C, going to be a sultry possibly sleepless night ahead and the air temp is not lowering quickly at the moment either @ 24.3C. Not a breath of wind too.

Absolutely gorgeous 🤤 Still 22.7c, humid and bone dry [sn_appr]

When I looked at the radar late afternoon I thought the rain showers were going to become more widespread and ruin another wonderful evening. That hasn't happened. [sn_appr] Looks like we may get a shower during the night, but as long as all trace of it is gone by the time I set off in the morning I'll be happy.

It's 22.9 °C at just gone midnight -- I think I'm going to go and sit in the garden for a bit! Max today 29.4 °C, incidentally. Would have hit 30 °C easily if only the cloud hadn't taken so long to clear in the afternoon.

It's overcast, completely still and VERY warm out there tonight.

Temp holding up at 21c. I think we're getting a 20+ minimum tonight.
