The same thing always happens when these shower trains come up from the SW. They look very promising as they trundle across Bucks/Beds, usually giving Milton Keynes a good pasting, but fizzle just as they hit the Cambridgeshire flatlands, then re-build as they cross into Suffolk/Norfolk. So far I've heard a couple of distant rumbles, and one a bit closer from a cell which gave about about 10 seconds worth of heavy rain. I really don't know why I bother watching the radar on days like this.
