Those showers over the west midlands are really pepping up. A large yellow area has also shown up on my precip type radar, representing hail. Slow moving hail showers, must cool down the atmosphere - although with dps significantly above zero they can only do so much. Radar picking up the odd red pixel in that area too, so apparantly it is cold enough for snow in the heaviest of the showers there.
This is really wierd, there are pockets of low dps in the UK, for instance church fenton is reading 0C dewpoints.
Potential for some widespread (i.e well distributed) but very local snow this afternoon right down to sea level. If you can get a bit of shelter from the wind that would really help.
