Squall line passed through with torrential rain for a time. No thunder alas. rain has moderated and it's still gusty.

Yellow warning of wind has just been issued by the Met O for central and southern parts with gusts of up to 60mph for coastal areas.


Wind has started picking up here in the past 5 minutes

Light rain again  as the squal past through


One more wedgefull then it looks dryer out West although I see showers over Ireland coming our way later


Still hardly any wind although again a bit more movement with the trees

A small branch snapped off from Silver Birch at front of house, unusual for August. Its gusty out there.

We've had 2.8mm but it has practically stopped and is brighter - almost calm.
It seems to be moving to NE very quickly, seems unlikely to produce large totals now, although it might just hook back later.

Getting on towards 28mms of rain here with some heavy to very heavy rain throughout the morning.

Quite warm though before the storm arrived. Temperature reached 21.8C

Sun's coming out here now, with the wind slowly veering towards the south west, thus becoming more sheltered by it.
